Anyone can help i will be forever happy

Ok, the history of this lawn is this: I have spent many years now weeding by hand and the grass is actually very well grown together. The problem is, I cannot get a true GREEN color. How in heaven do i do this! Please answer in danish and english thank you!

Have you tried giving it fertilizer? Do you know anything about the soil beneath?

Lis, how do i test the soil. I added some kind of grass fertilizer a couple of days ago. i have no clue what to look for in changes.

Thank you. I am proud there is no weeds int he lawn. I spent two weeks last year pulling the weeds out by hand.

How is the soil in the rest of the garden - sandy, clay, dark, light? If you added fertilizer a couple of days ago, you should wait for 2-3 weeks, before you can see a result. Have you given it fertilizer before - this year or previously?
You should maybe also for a while make sure that you don't cut it too short - you can raise the cutting height on you lawn mower.

Maybe it needs water as well as fertilizer. I see the same problem in my lawn, and other lawns around here.

Elsebeth, thank you for writing! Can i get back to you after i mow the grass? i have mowed it once since i last wrote and it is long again. I will post pictures.

after i made this original post. I began to take pictures to track my grass. I needed to see what i was doing and the effects its having if there was improvement or not. This is what i found.

Note: I have increased the cutting height and will NOT be godning for the rest of the year. I am praying that the good healthy grass grows together and becomes the dominant grass.

Impressing! The lawn is green! I don't know about the clover (kløver) - it helps the lawn, so I let it stay in my own lawn. But see how much wiser you are about lawn in just a few months! And thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

I think somebody else might know more about organic fertilizing of a lawn. I am not able to translate this to english - see if you can get somebody else to do it:
